Duck and Goose Hunting in Arkansas
Arkansas has a rich duck hunting tradition crossing over multiple
generations and a lifetime of memories. If you have never experienced
a group of mallards parachuting into a timber hole, then a trip
to Arkansas should be on your agenda, and the Backwoods Duck Club
& Lodge!" is the perfect spot from which to make it happen.
Duck hunting in Arkansas is world renowned and has been featured
on numerous outdoor shows for many years. Duck hunting in Arkansas,
particularly in Bayou Meto, is the finest in North America. Our
Lodge is on a major flyway smack in the middle of the "world renowned
Mississippi flyway", the largest migration route in the world.
Witness first hand the many and varying species of ducks that
move through the bayou. While any southerner might try and tell
you "it ain't a duck unless it is a Mallard", you will witness
first hand the many species that the Mississippi flyway has to
offer, from Blue Wing Teal in September, to Green Wing teal, Gadwall,
Pintail, Canvasback, Red Head, Shoveler, Ring Neck, Widgeon, and
yes, the Mallard, throughout the season from mid November through
late January.
You will be hunting from blinds located in over 10,000 acres of
privately owned, green flooded timber, soybean fields, and rice
fields. To see more images what our area and flyover inhabitants
look like, click here to go to our photo gallery.
Duck hunting in Arkansas is everything you have always heard about,
read about, and talked about. If you're a wingshooter, you owe
it to yourself to experience the flooded grain fields and hardwood
timber, and the oxbow lakes and cypress sloughs. Everything about
Arkansas is a waterfowler's paradise, and with our "comfortable
hospitality," we're the best Lodge in the area to make your hunting
experience perfect.
